2019

Thursday, August 29 — The Summit High School girls’ team dominated the girls’ race again this year, with a winning score of 20. Freshman Storm runner Justema Barrett won that race with a time of 21:16.81. The Storm boys’ team also won, with a score of 27. Crook County junior Alec Carne finished the boy’s race in first place with a time of 18:20.4.

2018

Saturday, August 25 — The Summit High School team won this year’s boys’ race, with a near-perfect score of 17. Storm senior Zachry Weber had the fastest race time of 18:01. The Summit girls’ team also won with a low, low score of 20 points. Mountain View High School’s Kelsey Swenson won the girls’ race with a time of 19:50. This is Kelsey’s senior year and the fourth time she has been the girls’ champ here. Well done!

2017

Saturday, August 26 — This year, the girls’ race was won by Mountain View High School with a core of 43 points. The Cougars lead runner, Kelsey Swenson, took home the individual girls’ trophy, with a time of 19:45.4. The Summit High School Boys team won the boys’ race with a score of 49 points. Ridgeview High School senior, Albert Hesse, won the boys’ race with a time of 17:50.7.

Saturday, September 12 — Another great year! The Bend Senior High Boys team won the boys’ race, with a score of 33 points. Mountain View High School won the girls’ race with a score of 20 points. Kelsey Swenson, a freshman at Mountain View High School, won the girls’ race with a time of 20:56.4. Caleb Hoffman, a senior at Bend Senior High won the boys’ race with a time of 17:48.1.

2014

Saturday, September 6 — What a great year! The weather was beautiful—sunny and warm. The Summit High School Boys team won the boys’ race. Mountain View High School won the girls’ race. Sage Hassell, a junior at Mountain View High School, continued her winning streak in the girls’ race with a time of 21:12.6. Dakota Thornton, a senior at Mountain View High School won the boys’ race with a time of 17:21.5. The overall winner for the open 5K was Robbie Donahue, with a time of 18:03.7.

2013

Saturday, September 7 — In the second year of the stampede, the course highlight was a sun-bleached water buffalo skeleton. Matthew Maton, a junior at Summit High School, set a new course record of 16:19 and won the boys’ race. Sage Hassell, a sophomore at Mountain View High School, won the girls’ race with a time of 20:22.7.

Saturday, September 8 — Dakota Thornton, a sophomore at Mountain View High School won the boys’ race with a time of 17:05.6. Sage Hassell, a freshman at Mountain View High School, won the girls’ race with a time of 20:31.7.

Saturday, September 10 — The Jere Breese Memorial Stampede began as a tribute to Jere Breese in 2011.
